MediciBIO aims to develop platform technology for the delivery of various gene therapeutics such as mRNA, self-amplifying mRNA, Cas9 mRNA, siRNA, and ASO (antisense oligonucleotide) via Medici Ionizable Lipid and Medici Targeting Lipid.
Unlike other pharmaceuticals, gene therapies essentially require effective gene carriers for delivery to target tissues. These gene carriers largely include lipid, polymer, and virus carriers, and lipid carriers are up to date recognized as the most promising carriers in clinical safety.
